An online retailer has sparked outrage after using a slim model to advertise plus-size clothing by fitting her entire body into just one leg.
San Francisco-based clothing store Wish.com pictured the model wedged inside just one fully-stretched leg to advertise the leather-look shorts, which come in XXXL and XXXXXL.
The shorts, which are described as 'Ladies Wadded Autumn Winter Shorts Skiny Leggings,' have sparked a backlash after people branded their ill-advised choice of model 'unbelievable'.

But women took to HelloGiggles.com to complain about the inexplicable choice of model, with one blasting, 'It's horrible.'
Another commented: 'It takes jobs away from plus sized models who get little work as it is. If they can't market plus sized clothing, where else are their jobs coming from?'
Trisha wrote: 'There's a plus sized dress on Wish currently that is described as "Fat lady vintage dress". No lie.'
Women blasted the choice of model, with one writing: 'They expect people to buy from them with that attitude?'

Last year, international site AliExpress came under fire for using similar tactics to advertise their size 3XL and 5XL leggings.
The bizarre listing's photo creates a mermaid illusion with the models' legs clamped together

The images, being sold by Herry He's Store, caused a stir online with one Twitter user branding the seller 'disgusting' for using the body-shaming tactics.

I know I shouldn't laugh, but the fact that they're sold out....I'm gonna laugh. Apparently some women weren't that offended and also those shorts are ugly as hell. WHO bought those?
