Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger's relationship status seems, well, complicated.
Lavigne, 31, shared a picture of herself and the Nickelback frontman, 41, playing instruments in the recording studio Tuesday night. She did not include an Instagram caption, which led some of her fans to wonder whether they've reunited; others argued that the photo speaks for itself. "Please stay together," one commenter wrote. "You're my last hope on love." Another fan added, "I love you Chavril!" Lavigne wasn't alone with Kroeger, though, as she also spent time in the studio with musicians Zane Carney and Stephan Hovsepian. The singer-songwriter has been busy working on the follow-up to her self-titled fifth studio album, released in late 2013.
