Some people don't like R&B. That doesn't make them racist. What if someone doesn't like Work, does that make them racist? I'm all for calling out racism but this is a reach imo
Well it's racist when a lot of people on this site are convinced that Rihanna is singing "gibberish" in Work when she singing in her native patois.
No, for me It's just a bad music genre. This is about MUSIC, not the people that sings the songs.
It's like saying not liking rock music or rap music is racist.
No, not really. I think the ¨I can understand the lyrics¨ excuse is weird though. It´s not like the pop music yall listen to has much lyrical substance and translations are only a Google search away.
it's not about meaning of the song but being unable to sing along
No it's tacky and tragic. How can you listen to something you don't understand?
I hate this type of mentality. I've heard songs in languages I don't understand that have been more emotional than most bland songs in English/Italian/French that I've heard. I don't speak Polish, but you can't say this song doesn't leave you with anything.

It's racist when some people call WOrk gibberish, or racist when people call kpop ching chang chong...
It's a pop music forum and 'non-English music' didn't fit in the title so I needed a well-known example, try again
Okay. I'd say getting butthurt because someone called someone out on one's ******** is also attributing to one's racist tendencies… And "non-English music" does fit in the title… you, try again…
about Work, I can maybe see it because the lyrics themselves lowkey make no sense in the chorus, unless it's some lingo I've never heard of because I'm not down with the kidz anymore
