In a surprise to everyone in Los Angeles and certainly everyone in Portland, Maine, pop superstar Katy Perry announced today in an interview that she was moving to Portland. Katy said that she was “tired of the LA lifestyle” and wanted to “live in a place where people are just people and whose sincerity you don’t have to always question”.
“I love Portland! And this feels like the place I need to be at this time in my life,” Katy told the magazine. “I’m not giving up on my career. I just want to move to a place that feels so different than what I’ve been used to for so long and I think Maine is where I want to be.”
