Does the lack of Neptunes/Pharrell on this project bother anyone else? That is a part of the Gwen solo DNA...now we are stuck with a bunch of generic producers and writers smh.

Still looking forward to this, but I wish Pharrell was involved.

Im beyond happy Pharrell is not on this album. His music and productions are awful nowadays. Spark the Fire is the worst song of Gwens career.

Also Pharrells work on TSE was very weak too, the Kanal and the Hooper tracks were so much better and saved the album.

I hope Pharrell never does any more songs with Gwen for the rest of her career.

Pharrel is a hit or miss. I'm not bothered at all, you can go listen to Spark The Fire if you want.

Pharrell also is close to generic at this point. I love the guy but he has overexposed himself the last years and he has become repeative and less innovative. And Spark The Fire also didn't work.

Her " solo DNA" on her debut was merely Tony Kanal and Nellee Hooper though

I am so excited, but I haven't pre-ordered the album yet. I think I'll download it from iTunes first and then get physical copy, as I always have a physical copy of my fave's. I own every physical of ND + Gwen and it would bother me not to have this one.

Nellee Hooper has been the producer she has worked most with with pre TIWTTFL, he also produced a bunch of songs on No Doubts Rock Steady album and their song Its My Life.

IDK...what she released so far has been super run of the mill. I'm nervous that the same folks responsible for the two singles are responsible for the bulk of the album.

The album better be better than the singles!!!! A least better than single #2!!!!

Pharrell is done to me. Seriously he haven't produced a good song in ages.
Then I don't believe in "taking back my previous hitmakes to create another "My Only Hit 2016"" I'm more than ok with her current team.

How are Gwen's collaborators for this record generic?

Pharell has been creating the same 3 records for 3 years now.

This era is so far not generic at all. MMLY is an amazing pop song, critically acclaimed by all relevant magazines and the media. UTLY to me, is a masterpiece and a very real song.

I have a feeling this will top TSE.
