coz it encouraged people to post a comment that people would quote with "noooo" "thread ruined"
and the discussion would go out the window
But people still do that regardless. I've seen plenty of threads ruined by 1 post since it's been closed. Its absence is not really deterring anyone from posting kii-worthy replies so it should be reopened.
