Talking about Wall Street is completely fine if it's on topic.
But if we're talking about other situations, such as Health Care, the Flint Water Crisis, the Auto Industry, ect, then it's not an okay time to bring up Wall Street. There are other ways to respond to these issues without going off topic.
That's what all of us have issues with.
