Top 50 Singles:
#25. J. Holiday - It's Yours
"Grab my body baby, hold my heart don't break it, it is yours" Everyone knows about cuffing season, and THIS was the song for me during cuffing season. For more information about "cuffing season", click
here. Anyways, "It's Yours" was the first (and last) single off of J. Holiday's Sophmore album, "Round Two". IT was a moderate it on the R&B charts, and was a nice single...even if it was a "Bed" rehashing.
#24. Chris Brown - Crawl
"Crawl", the second single hailed off of "Graffiti" is a ballad, and it's a great song. Sure, after hearing the
demo of the song, the vocals leave a LOT to be desired, but the song's message is great, and it was a nice attempt on Chris Brown's part to release a pop ballad. Yeah, that didn't really work out in his favor, right?

I WOULD have preferred he had gone with "Sing Like Me" or "Wait" as the second single...but I'll save that for my albums post.
#23. Mariah Carey - I Want To Know What Love Is
One of the FEW songs I enjoyed off of Memiors Of A
has been Imperfect Angel was Mariah's cover of "I Want To Know What Love Is". I think I just enjoyed 2:03-3:38, because she only sings for the 2nd half of the song! The single tanked, the video was a disaster, and now Mimi's releasing a remix album. Yep, that's success in 2009.
#22. Drake & Trey Songz - Successful
I'll reserve my Wheelchair Jimmy shade for later on in this countdown. Trey provided a GREAT hook and additional verse on "Successful", and the song itself was nice...even though their basis of being "successful" is materialistic...I will take the song for what it's worth.
#21. Whitney Houston - Million Dollar Bill
Sorry Bart! Whitney
Legendston Houston MISSES the Top 20 with her comeback single, "Million Dollar Bill". Initially, I was disappointed by "Million Dollar Bill" for the usual reasons, her voice has diminished, dated sound, not a mainstream R&B single...ect. After I got over my bias and gave it a second listen, I realized that this is as CLOSE to vintage Whitney as we're going to get, and I can take that. The song itself is a catchy, soulful jam and was nice enough for her comeback single. She needs to put out "Call You Tonight" and "Salute" and MY LIFE WILL BE COMPLETE!
