NR is the only song they sent to radio before it's official music video.DJs bandwagon popualr songs or songs with huge hype around them to attract listeners.NR is neither.They pushed it hard at first because they thought she'll drop the music video so soon. Imagine the amount of people who would call her fake if they were from 1989 era.
And also i did not know that she tweeted a thank you tweet to Ryan Adams during Red era.

Even those who listen to pop music and like or have bought some Taylor songs don't care about Taylor "being in the news".
I really don't think that the GP can get tired of a musician.
It felt like ,between WD and Grammys era when Adele released Hello, there was a backlash.
