He didn't
make her work with them.
She was originally working with Kendrick, however, one can assume by statements made by both parties. That his team wasn't really down for him to be associated with lady gaga probably both because of her large gay fanbase and the fact that hes a rapper and also because she was in a career slump and maybe she wasnt the coolest person to have his name attached to at that time. So instead, she ended up working with the 3 of those guys going on to make the statement for thanking them for not being hesitant to work with an artist with a large gay fanbase.
As for Azealia, she had a lot of buzz back then and was really down for gaga, but then she started beefing with perez and other artists. which of course im sure born brave gaga didnt really appreciate or want associated with her album. but also, my assumption is that azealia has strong viewpoints for the music she chooses to be involved with and these artists (Gaga, Rihanna, Kanye, Beyonce, etc) maybe dont adhere to what she wants and so she says **** them in the end.
