MTN was certified gold in 2012. With sales above 700k, a platinum cert isn't that big of a reach. & considering it flopped WW, I'd say most of its streams must come from the US.

Interscope's still behind for:

-The Fame (sales well over 4M, certified 3x plat)
-Artpop (sales well over 700k, not certified anything - not even gold).

That leads me to believe that they're gonna certify her albums with TEA & SEA.

Depends.
Alejandro always seemed bigger outside the US than in the US. The majority of its streams must come from outside the US, hence why it's still not 3x plat.

It does seem like they updated everything taking into considering streaming. (Otherwise, for example, Judas would have only been certified 1x plat or Gold). So yeah Alejandro probably isn't eligible for a 3x plat cert just yet

i swear interscope/any label send out memos to radio stations asking to increase recurrent airplay of previous singles just before new eras? before major pop stars start their new eras* i vaguely remember something like this happening w gaga before ARTPOP??

I'm saying this because a HUGE station here has payed gaga dust for months, like the last time i heard her was DWUW like in the summer, but lately these last couple of weeks theyve been playing poker face and just dance along with brand new hits, it seems like they've been playlisted again
