I was obviously joking about the Melanie / Halsey collab BUT the Tumblr demographic is something she should consider pursuing, their first week sales (those Tumblr girls) are always surprisingly impressive. There's an actual album-buying audience there. Cry Baby and Badlands are also both great albums so I'd be here for a cowrite from either.

When it comes to album sales, the smaller pop girls like Demi, Selena, Ellie (and soon Ariana) are sub-Halsey (Badlands debuted with 97k pure sales).
Halsey is doing 2k venues in non-English-speaking Europe. And only has to upgrade to 4k venues to outdo Haylor's life time achievement. Gloria is stuck at this in the center of Europe.

While Ellie did this in the same venue:

Last month Ellie upgraded to convincing the press that she sold out the first rate arena where Artrave did 15k/20k and was dragged by Dutch-language newspapers for half empty floor. Sub-Ellie.
Isn't terrifying that pop girls can be under the Tumblr girls you never heard on the radios? Like who are buying these albums and tickets? Katy is third generation pop girl (Madonna is first generation, Britney second generation) making the Internet work for her. However Halsey is the Internet-only generation and doesn't even need the radios.
Imagine the shady speech during Halsey second era: "Here, we are entering the biggest venue Haylor ever played in this country. We will be in the same rooms, seats,... everything of a supposedly big star!"
Halsey co-writing with Katy would be interesting.
