OT: Yes, at the Los Angeles zoo they're free-roaming so I've seen a bunch. Also, a few minutes from my house a few of my friends (and a co-worker) live on a block where there's regularly peacocks for no reason at all. My co-worker even kept one (she named it Kevin after the bird from Up!) in her front yard for a few weeks until it ran (flew?) away.
