For Christ sake, ya'll can can the 'tudes. No one cares if you're boycotting Sony.
But to simplify it, it's because of the Cell processor chip that was used in the PS3 models. Without it in the PS4, it's IMPOSSIBLE TO EMULATE. And if they were to include it, it'd raise the PS4's price to near what the original launch price used to be for the PS3. None of you actually even do your research into the actual process and just blame Sony for being greedy. But then again, I don't expect ATRLers to be educated on game development at all.
So you either have your cheap PS4 or an expensive BC PS4. No one sensible these days wants to pay more for a console compared to its cheaper competition.
