My aunt cheated on her husband back in like '07 or something. She cheated because he was literally always on the computer playing video games. Literally all hours of the day. So she cheated with another man. They have 2 kids. They of course reconciled and got over it.

If cheating provides you with a more positive outcome than negative backlash

Literally never. There's no good excuse for going behind someone you supposedly love's back and betraying their trust and breaking their heart. And if you don't love them, then why are you even still with them
