I guess but who cares? Being a "Democrat" means nothing imo given how corrupt the party is. Without choosing a party, he wouldn't have been able to be apart of debates or get his message spread as much as he did.

I don't know. If the GOP comes out against Trump like they seem to be doing, he could have a problem. There are a lot of people that plan on voting Clinton just so Trump doesn't win. Bernie could steal a lot votes from both of them. I've seen people on all sides willing to support Bernie.
If Trump somehow loses the Republican nomination, I bet he'll run Independent as well which makes it a four-person race that Bernie has the best chance of winning.
