The top 100 songs is based not only on my daily countdown, but also on how it performed in other charts. The impact of other charts may be lesser, but it can still make a difference. So basically it's a mixture of what I liked, and what others liked.
Kicking things off is Rihanna at #100. This never really entered my daily top ten, but the fact that it's by Rihanna will make you find time to listen to the song. For me its just a mediocre track, and its very lucky to be hanging on the bottom of the list.
One of the weaker Brit songs IMO. The fact that it has been released before lessens it's likeability, hence ranking way lower than her other songs.
MMOTE is a good track but is nowhere near "Decode." This song is a bit boring and lightweight but still it manages to end up in the Top 100.
One of the songs that I didnt really like but since my friends *****d it out, I kind of find myself listening to the song as well. Very catchy track.
Included in the train of average sounding tracks Jesse released after "Leavin'."
Whatever random list.
• TEN BEST COLLABORATIONS OF THE YEAR
Featuring whatever and whatever.
10. AR Rahman feat. the Pussycat Dolls "Jai Ho"
• This turned out to be one of the catchiest songs of the year. Since when did Indian-like sound become so pop and mainstream?
9. James Morrison feat. Nelly Furtado "Broken Strings"
• An unexpected duet, but I like how the song turned out.
8. Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce "Telephone"
• I like this better than "Video Phone." Its a really great track, but its not better than what the two female artists could offer individually.
7. Cobra Starship feat. Leighton Meester "Good Girls Go Bad"
• I was ignoring this in the beginning but when I accidentally heard it one of the parties I attended, I was like "Hey, that is a cool song."
6. Ciara feat. Justin Timberlake "Love Sex Magic"
• I love the beat of this song, makes you want to nod your head.
5. Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat "Lucky"
• Im a fan of Mraz but not Colbie, but this song is such an awesome collaboration. Very sweet and very relaxing. Gotta love the acoustic feel as well.
4. Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind"
• Alicia Keys <333
3. Boys Like Girls feat. Taylor Swift "Two Is Better Than One"
• Smart move by BLG to make use of the TS hype. Nevertheless, the collab paid off and the result was this great ballad. Definitely deserves the success it's been getting.
2. T.I. feat. Justin Timberlake "Dead And Gone"
• I learned to appreciate T.I's rapping skills after "Whatever You Like," and in this song he managed to show it off once more. But more than the rapping, I loved Justin's part in "I turned my head to the west..."
1. Keri Hilson feat. Kanye West and Ne-Yo "Knock You Down"
• I love this RnB track. And Im not even a huge RnB fan. I like Keri's voice and the track is powered by Ne-Yo's melodic runs. Kanye's presence is also added value. Overall its an awesome song!
Album must have a single released in 2009.
This is one of the unique sounding albums of the year. When I first heard "Fireflies," I really got curious of the artist behind it and found out its a one-man band and that the sound is called "synthpop." I downloaded the album and was really happy about the content. There were just some songs that sounded similar but it's really a refreshing album to listen to.
5/5 Radar I dunno why people hate that song.
10/10 YESSSS Knock You Down! The best track on IAPW. Booo at Telephone not on the top 5. One of the best collabo of the year.
Ocean Eyes is a very good album. Am I the only one who really love Saltwater Room? The only bad thing in the CD is it has no booklet
4/5 for the singles specially for Russian Roulette!
1/1 = for Ocean Eyes, those are my favorites tracks too!
6/10 for the collaborations
