I really hope that new Woodpecker(?) Pokemon isn't another basic Normal/ Flying type. Especially after Talonflame gave us something new for a early route bird Pokemon

watch the new bid being fire/flying too

i mean its GF they love repeating... the first stage looks so much with fletching and it also has red color head which makes it very difficult to think another type other than normal or fire that it suits it

what i want from this gen's starters

The fire one to stay on 4!! All fire starters are standing in 2!!
Unique or at least unusual and not repetitive types
Nice stat distribution and fun big movepools!

It looks more like Starly to me than Fletching but yeah the color doesn't really give an indication.

That might be cool.

It might even be Grass/Flying for all we know. Don't think they'll pull another Normal/Flying mess, personally, but you never know.

Unless it gets a drastic change in the design that red color just doesnt feel like any other special typing than fire... but it can be dark/psychic/steel etc (without teh color being of putting) anything is better the usual normal...

I don't think they'll do this.

1. The stone looks more like a revive than anything else.

2. The evolution will most likely have to do with the moondial, and just be some alternative name to mega evolution. We all know that ORAS had Primal Reversion but that was basically just another name for Mega Evolution reserved for older legends.

A Fire/Flying or Fire/Steel starter would be a good change.

Grass/Dark and Water/Fighting would be good too IMO.
