To much focus and attention was put into her "delivery" the artificial thickening of her voice (I think she wanted to sound heftier and dense.. Like a contralto), but the stuff she was doing vocally wasn't really natural..because of it the singing itself seemed laboured and although had bravado it seemed to lack something IMO
I think she was literally choked up 90% of the song. You could hear her fighting back the tears straight from the start.
Yes it needed more jazz hands, fireworks and choreo.
If she thought that it's tasteful to turn a "tribute" to legend who passed away just a few couple of days ago into a Vegas drag show, why not? Wouldn't be surprising.
