You don't get it do you? This isn't something you can do quietly. Rape is something that is not talked nearly enough about, people sweep it under the rug. That's why there's been such a huge splash about Kesha's case, it's very rare for a public figure to publicly stand up and fight when it happens. Gaga released this song before the case blew up and has been trying to spread the message for a long time....seeing Kesha be so public about this stuff inspired Gaga so much, since it took her so long to even face the fact that she herself experienced it years ago. This is much bigger than a song, and she's trying to make a change and raise awareness.
