Any sources for this? I stand with the first statement, as according to basic laws of capitalism, this move will make no sense as there always will be at least that one shop with confederate flags, unless they are banned by law.
And what you said is extremely biased, associating a state which is apparently very important to South US citizens solely with owning slaves. Another attempt at stigmatising?
Slavery was a marginal issue during the American Civil War. It's not like the Confederate States of America were Nazi Germany, whose symbols are banned in some countries. Though I believe that people have the right to use any symbolic they want to, even if it's Nazi. But drag me I guess.
