After donating $250,000 to Kesha earlier this week, Taylor Swift surprised a college student with a $1,989 donation on FaceTime.
Igor Lekontsev is an accounting major at the University of Connecticut and a major Swiftie. His Taylor-themed Tumblr caught the singer's attention a year ago and she's been following him ever since. Igor told the Daily Campus that he's tried to get in touch with Taylor before, but he was surprised when she suddenly FaceTimed him on the morning of Saturday, February 20.
"I literally had no idea about her contacting me until she did it," he said. They chatted about Taylor's music and Igor's passion for her career. Out of respect for Taylor's privacy, Igor didn't ask her about her relationship with Calvin Harris.
That's when Taylor mentioned she had read about Igor's involvement with HuskyTHON, his school's dance marathon that raises money for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, to which she donated the money.

Y'all will try to drag in the name of anything. It is pathetic. She donated to his fundraiser to help a children's medical foundation. He is a big fan that runs a Taylor swift tumblr so I'm sure he finds the donation of 1989 cute.
The money is meant for charity, not for his college fees.
