I feel like when people say that, they mean a significant majority of members are gay (sometimes bi) men and that has a lot to do with the type of culture this forum sometimes allows; AKA running into Celebrity Photos of men who might just be showing their ankles yelling "YASSSSSS FATHER TAKE ME TO YOUR PARA-D"
