Besides Revelations 2, they keep releasing statements of re-re-re-re-releasing their older games.

First Resident Evil Remastered for the PS3 last year, which was imported from China.

Then Resident Evil Zero // Resident Evil Remastered for the PS4.

They said their is enough demand to remaster the follow-up to the successful predecessor Resident Evil.

They just released a statement Resident Evil 6 is being remastered for the PS4 system. Then they'll remaster Resident Evil 5, then finally the forth game.

I mean I'm happy they are taking the time to release the classics in HD and remaster them for the new systems, but I find it funny after the disaster feedback media attention RE6 got, their scared to make a new game. Just follow the same recipe as Revelations 2. Less action packed, more survival.

Ugh for some reason I read this as "Capricorn scared to make new (friends)" or something.

I don't think RE6 was bad, in fact I find it more interesting than #5, especially playing as Leon.

I kinda am happy to be getting RE5 in HD but as for the trash that is 6...

And they really need to stop releasing RE4 every year.

I'll admit I played it once, didn't beat the second campaign (didn't stock up enough on ammo) and put it on the shelf for a few years. I booted it back up and realized the game wasn't as bad the media makes it out to be.

It's more action paced, but the way the three campaigns intertwine was neat. The gameplay was like Call of Duty in some areas, but it wasn't necessarily bad. The enemies on the second campaign (the ones who mutated and walked like spiders; Ja'vo's?) were really annoying and I felt like Capcom got lazy. Just make a more advanced Zombie, not some flying hybrid

Also, I feel like they got lazy with Revelations 2. They recycled the 'new' Axemen and copied it in some levels. Like do we need more than 6 in the same chapter?

They have been developing Resident Evil 7 for a while now. They are just having trouble with the new engine, which is a ****ing mess and the reason they've been delaying their brand new projects for years.

More like Capcom themselves ruined the franchise on their own. Nobody asked them to try and copy other games because they wanted COD money which is why RE6 is critically panned.

RE7 has been in the works for a long time they're not afraid to release a new one this is just filler.
If it doesn't release this year it will release next year not to mention the animated movie is coming.

i never managed to complete RE5 because i have such a fear of spiders that i couldn't bear to get past the level with those weird spider zombie things.

i liked RE6 but i still haven't completed it because i got busy and never got back to it, but i think i'll give it another go soon. it didn't have the survival horror feeling that the 1st 4 games had though

Capcom has been disappointing since the start of this decade.

!!!! they ****ed up severely by writing Umbrella off completely in 4, disregarding loose ends and plotholes.

Capcom is whoring out the franchise in every way they can by re-releases and spin offs. There will be a spin off this year coming to PC and RE7 wil be shown this year most likely plus remake of RE2 from the ground up. Also Capcom financially speaking hasnt been doing that hot lately for trying to make their games appeal more to western fans when the western fans simply wanted more of the same with better visuals for most of the part. DmC, Bionic Command Reboot, Lost Planet 3, Resident Evil 5 and 6 were westernized and the response from the fans were mostly negative for missing the point of what made those franchises what they were.

Capcom re-releasing content is easy money for them with minimum effort and considering SFV flopping the easier money they can get the better .

Also I expect RE7 to be more garbage like RE6

They need to go back to Umbrella in RE7 and back to survivial horror a la Revelations 1.
That was the best original RE game they released since RE 3 (maybe 4).

So upset about RE6! I'm fine with survival horror games! I'm fine with guns being the primary weapon! I am not okay with it being a ****ing Call of Duty ripoff with zombies! If I'm not literally scared shitless with less than two rounds of ammo left, it's not Resident Evil!

I believe they are currently working on a RE2 remake which I think deserves a remake with the better technology they currently have. They have a really strong catalogue, so after RE2 remake comes out, I'll be satisfied.

Aren't they remaking RE2 from the ground up?? I'll take that any day over some mess like RE6
