NG's Top 30 Joints of 2009...
Presents : Oh Sch-nap! (Part II) #54-49
54. Tegan and Sara - Hell
- I love upbeat tempo songs like "Hell." These kind of songs definitely suit Tegan and Sara more because it's fun to listen to. The track is catchy and relatively short, but Tegan and Sara get to the point delivering a clever metaphor in the track. Thumbs up.
53. Depeche Mode - Wrong
- "Wrong" is downright haunting and the video just made the track even better. This video is just crazy good. It fills with intensity and possibly the most nerve-wracking clips I've seen this year. I've always been a fan of Depeche Mode and they still got it after 12 albums.
52. Britney Spears - If U Seek Amy
- The subliminal message made "If U Seek Amy" even more fun. This is Britney at her naughtiest yet she kept it fun and classy. She could have done more with the video though, but still this track definitely made me like Britney more.
51. Michael Bublé - Haven't Met You Yet
- Ok, The fall-in-love-in-a-supermarket is a little cheesy, but I love Michael Bublé. His pop vocal is such a pleasure to listen to. "Haven't Met You Yet" is one of those happy times songs that I just couldn't stop playing.
50. Pete Yorn & Scarlette Johansson - Relator
- Scarlette Johansson singing alone? WOMP FLOP. With Pete Yorn? Clever! Her vocal actually suits Pete's style and the song is just straight up catchy, kinda like She & Him. All in all, I'm just diggin' "Relator" a lot.
49. La Roux - Bulletproof
- La Roux is one of the upcoming artists to watch out. All her singles are just so damn good, but lately I have been listening to "Bulletproof" a whole lot. Her sassy britpop style and that hair-do just did it for me, not to mention how addictive "Bulletproof" is right now. It just screams smash hit.
Part three of oh sch-nap list is coming soon. You don't want to miss it. I promise.
