I wish they just used up and coming Broadway talent for this. You can all argue your faves vocals all day but we need people that can both act and sing so I'd rather them use people formally trained for it. Wicked's name alone carries enough weight I don't think it's necessary to add stars just for the views.

This needs to be good and not some quick direct to TV horribly acted cash grab like Carries Sound of Music, no shade Carrie sounded fairly good actually but she is NO actress.

Idina's Elphaba was never the best vocally (though in her prime was fairly good)she was memorable and won her Tony because she had solid vocals but SUPERB acting.

Elphaba should also be a Mezzo Soprano.
