Renzi is using the big guns, he's putting his coalition on the line so it can pass.
If the confidence vote passes then it's smooth sailing in the House, if it fails then new elections will be held. He's done this tactic before, he really seems to think the numbers are there
This bill is a shame! It's been months since they started discussing it, the opponents have achieved the elimination of the stepchild adoption citing absurd and retrograde arguments, saying that the kids can't be damaged by gay vices! Gays have been defined innatural, against God and abominations by politicians and the saddest thing is that the people are more than ready in my opnion and for my experience! By the way, for a country like mine (with the Vatican) it's good enough to introduce at least civil unions...we'll see

Forza Italia and the ESPECIALLY M5S for getting cold feet at the last minute All their fault.
How long does it take to pass the Chamber of Deputies?
Hopefully the discussions won't be that long because of the welcoming majority and if the bill is unchanged then it just heads to the President's desk for signing.
