I kinda doubt it since it hasn't even had a week of sales above 200K. Those songs got multiple weeks above 400K and I know sales are down in general but still.

Someone commented that "30 mil streams is the new 300k sales," which I could kinda buy, but they're rare so far. Last year only had Hello though for like 5 weeks; the year before I think only had Anaconda for one week.

150k is the new 300k though. You can't judge Work for selling "poorly" because ALL sales are low. However it is #1 on itunes by far and it's streaming is great, so it's a big hit

If you transform streams into sales you get around 300K for "Work". I mean, 119K sales + 25.8M streams = 300K equivalent sales.

Love Yourself 227K
Pillowtalk 219K
My House 210K
Stressed Out 200K
Sorry 167K

Selena Gomez, "Hands to Myself"
Quote:
After hitting a high of No. 7 on the Hot 100 three weeks ago, following the release of its official video, the song is poised to return to the top 10, lifting 12-11. It pushes 13-11 on the Digital Songs chart (57,000 downloads sold, up 11 percent, in the week ending Feb. 18, according to Nielsen Music) and 22-16 on Radio Songs (61 million in audience, up 18 percent).
|
Lukas Graham, "7 Years"
Quote:
The debut hit from the Danish pop band, fronted by Lukas Graham Forchhammer, reaches the Hot 100's top 20 (35-20) in its fifth week. Sales lead the way, as the wistful single reaches the Digital Songs top 10 (15-9), up by 35 percent to 64,000 sold.
|
James Bay, "Let It Go"
Quote:
Bay's first Hot 100 hit is now his first top 40 hit, too, as it blasts 75-38 with top Digital Gainer honors. It re-enters Digital Songs at a new high of No. 10 (61,000, up 290 percent) after his Grammy Awards spotlight Feb. 15 (with the show broadcast on CBS): Bay was nominated for best new artist (won by Meghan Trainor) and sang "Go" in a shared set with Tori Kelly, who performed "Hollow"; fellow best new artist nominee Kelly's track also surges, rising 93-68 (hitting a new peak) on the Hot 100 and entering Digital Songs at No. 34 (29,000, up 310 percent).
|
Gwen Stefani, "Make Me Like You"
Quote:
Stefani's new single has already made history, serving as the soundtrack to the first-ever live video premiere, as it arrived (via a Target tie-in) during the Grammy Awards. The song, from her album This Is What the Truth Feels Like, due March 18, debuts at No. 54 on the Hot 100, powered most heavily by 56,000 first-week downloads sold, which also spurs its No. 12 launch on Digital Songs.
|
Adele, "All I Ask"
Quote:
One more Grammys-related Hot 100 move, as the ballad begins at No. 77 after Adele sang it (despite a notable technical gaffe) on the telecast. The song from 25, which returns to the top of the Billboard 200 and is set for a 10th week at No. 1 next week, re-enters Digital Songs at No. 18 (46,000, up 526 percent). "Ask" is the sixth song from 25 to have hit the Hot 100.

T10 on iTunes: 0 female-only songs
T10 on Spotify: 0 female-only songs
T10 on radio: Adele and Selena. Well, that's something then. Selena should be replaced by Selena soon-ish.
Even country radio has 2.

What were ANTi's pure sales this week? Cumulative sales? I have 175,801 at last count.

If 2010 is factored in for all of the 2010s, does Need You Now move ahead of Cruise? I know NYN was the #1 Country download for the first 21 weeks BB had that chart. Also, I know If I Die Young sold over 5 million, but it was a slow burner. I'll check on wagon Wheel, but I think it put up lower maximums, just over a longer time, than BRH.
EDITING: Looking this up so Friday doesn't have to...
Need You Now first peaked at #2 on HDS 28-Nov-09 (and again 20-Feb-10), its first week in the Top 10. NYN also reached #2 on the Hot 100. I have it's chart run from when it first reached HDS Top 10 as 20- 2-6-13- 10-14-19-21-18-19-15-18- 8-2-5-4-3-5-6-8-7-9-11-12- 8-9-15.....so 15 weeks in the Top 10 HDS and 64 weeks total. This shows just how strong NYN's crossover airplay was in 2010!
If I Die Young only peaked at #13, but spent 70 WEEKS on HDS (still 75 positions at the time)! So IIDY was a slow burner/builder. IIDY reached #14 on the Hot 100, but spent over a year in two runs there.
Just A Kiss peaked at #3, two weeks T 10 HDS, 39 weeks overall HDS (#7 Hot 100)
Wagon Wheel peaked at #11 on HDS, and spent 33 weeks on HDS. WW reached #15 and spent 26 weeks on the Hot 100.
So

Actually this should be 45 million streams is EQUIVALENT to 300k sales at best, since the new RIAA rules clearly state 150 million streams, and not just 100 million, equal 1 million downloads.

The hate for "7 Years" when it's better than most songs released by pop girls in the past half decade. Typical ATRL

Some of us are trying to gauge "7 Years" for how much of a chance TSOS has of succeeding beyond Rock radio. I can only imagine the amount of hatred toward Disturbed should TSOS successfully start crossing over to mainstream radio. That'll be far worse than anything "7 Years" or "Stressed Out" has dealt with.

As a big hater of both songs, i don't hate Disturbed's TSOS. However i don't like it either. I think it's pretty much useless because, well, the original is such a classic, and it just fits better, no offence. Not saying the cover is terrible.

Yeah but you're just a hater of those two songs, not every Rock-leaning (or Country-leaning) crossover. Some ATRLers can't stand the idea of anything but Pop getting mainstream airplay, which truly bothers me. At the beginning of the millennium Top 40 played Rock, Alternative, Country (without dramatically different remixes) Urban, Rap, and Pop. That's the way it should be today, since Top 40 is supposed to draw a little from every format instead of only playing Pop 90-95% of the time.

There are 9-12 non pop songs charting on the published top 50. That's around 20%.
