I think she clearly doesn't care to play the game anymore. She's made it very obvious since PW came into the picture that she's not spending her money for payola or anything else. I don't think it's necessarily self sabotage, I think she's just proving her point.

Also don't know why y'all keep arguing with some of ATRL over single success. Bey has consistently shown that she doesn't need hit singles to sell the same or more albums as the girls with the hit singles. She's also shown that she is a touring powerhouse without the chart hits. It's the only thing they can use against her, as if she isn't outselling their faves on every other front. It's ridiculous.

The biggest popstars with the most recent hit singles aren't selling out stadiums within minutes, but Beyonce is. Y'all fail to realize that the industry has turned to crap and #1 singles mean nothing... It's about impact and making moments and Beyonce does that, hence why she's projected to have one offers highest grossing tours of all time...

It's all about PR for Beyonce. Her team has done an amazing job at basically forcing people to believe that Beyonce is a God and that it's "cool" to like Beyonce. Her power continues to grow artificially, not organically, but it is helping with touring. Though that's not to say she isn't powerful, because she is, it's just that everything about her, especially her sales, is exaggerated beyond belief.
