I mean I don't see the problem. I love Ellen so maybe I'm biased but it's entertaining to her and her viewers to report on these trends.
She does so many shows so who actually cares how short lived the viral thing is? It's not like many people are gonna be watching a 2016 episode of Ellen in 2021.
