This doesn't say anything about Gaga and Kesha, though, just that people were talking about Kesha.

So basically Kesha's case and the song are getting people to talk about a very important issue.

I think it'd be a powerful moment and a bigger show of support than a tweet or money
If Kesha sang the song with GAGA.
I don't get why so many people are against it.

Cause it will be called gimmicky and looks really thirsty for the press.

It'd feel like a tacky attempt for headlines. This isn't the VMAs, it's the Oscars. They're very strict with who performs - some of the nominees aren't even getting a slot.

Then there's the subject matter. Is it right to overshadow campus rape victims - the inspiration and cause for the song, not to mention why its nominated - for Ke$ha? The discussion would centre on the latter, which isn't the point.

And ultimately, to be blunt - what does Ke$ha have to do with this? The outcry isn't that she was raped. It's that she's being forced to work with her abuser. Gaga and Diane are also victims of sexual assault.

She needs to come out with a #FreeKesha embroidered gown tbh.

I don't think Gaga needs to sing the song with Kesha, I think the song will speak for itself, for everyone affected by abuse. I think just having this song performed at the Oscars is already a win for everybody.
