I definitely think the officer is being treated differently because he is not white, but I really don't care what happens to his ass and I wouldn't be rallying against his incarceration.

He is NOT a scapegoat, that implies he did nothing wrong. What he did was just as wrong as any other white officer (like the ones in Eric Garner's case) who also deserve to be punished.

the protest has no weight. even if you compare this case to incidents where white cops did get let off, it doesnt neglect that he committed manslaughter and it would be nearly impossible to prove he was treated differently because of his race.

Oh he's definitely no victim and these protesters are bugging. It's just funny af how they're "waking up" about racial disparities within the system all of a sudden. Thinking he would/should get off the hook like white officers. All cops who wrongly shoot someone, no matter their race, should be sentenced like him. This whole situation is all around mess.

The people protesting seem to want the other cops to get a similar sentence. So in this case it is fair that the protesters are whining about privilege, because the same officers that killed Eric while he was on the ground subdued, got away with murder. No one is right, these cops are too kill happy.

It was one officer who choked Eric Garner not several. I don't understand why people act as if all cops get off when every cop who has been involved in incidents in the past year have all be investigated and tried if there was evidence pertaining to wrongful death. The cop in Charleston, Baltimore, Ferguson etc.

So I guess the DOJ isn't legitimate enough.

N---a wake up calls are always funny, but it'll be a crispy cold day in hell before you see me supporting some bs like this. They are really treating that asshole like he's some poor baby lamb -- wearing t-shirts and carrying signs with his face all over them because white system left him hanging to say "Hey black lives matter folks, see you finally got one! Justice served!" instead of giving him the good ol' boy network treatment reserved for the white officers.

If they really cared about real justice, they'd be protesting and rallying for all of the other cops to be held responsible for their actions, but I'm willing to bet the farm most of the people you see out there wearing Liang t-shirts wouldn't be caught dead at a black lives matters function or protest where people are calling for actual justice the right way. Rallying behind another badge carrying murderer of an unarmed black man that just happened to not be white under the guise of "equality" is absolute ******** and they should be ashamed. **** him and **** them, too.
