“Everything has a price tag,” attorney James Sammataro said. “There is probably a number in which Sony – particularly if it’s sensitive to the potential backlash of growing support for Kesha on social media – would strongly consider releasing Kesha.”
they should've negotiated a deal instead before it all went public they could have avoided all of these ( they probably didnt expect the big support shes getting from big names) but good for kesha going public tarnishing their brand and luke's name.
So, we need to basically buy her out? This is a mess, but now I understand why she's collecting money, her lawyers could have negotiated a deal and maybe she can buy her freedom.
By the way, I'd like to know, how the hell did the US allow such a heavy contract in the first place when she only was 18 when signing it? Isn't your majority at 21?
They just need to release her and get it over with. The backlash has been HUGE. It will not benefit Sony to keep her hostage other than royalty payments from old songs that will eventually get smaller with time.
