I don't understand some of these officers, if you're so experienced and trained in your profession then you know as a policeman there are protocals for situations that don't pose a threat to your life, policemen tend to sometimes make matters worse.

Before I open the thread I was thinking of another race thread. But then I saw the few comments and how this thread is already falling off the top I knew this woman was not a POC.

I hope she does get some kind of justice for this.

I'm not siding with the police officer but it's almost as if his over the top actions downplays the reason this woman was even stopped to begin with.

I don't even want to have any encounters with the police enforcement so I DON"T STEAL or do criminal activity.

this makes situations where the person is completely innocent look bad because the woman did commit a crime.

How many times do we have to see this until we realize that if they are going to do this without a reason what do you think they will do if they feel justified by way of your criminal activity...

They beat the girl to a god damn pulp for shoplifting? That is NOT right.

She deserved what happened for the mere fact that it wouldn't have happened, if she listened. He gave her plenty of time to respectfully heed his word. The fact that she thought she could "bargain" with a police officer for stolen merchandise, says quite a lot. The amount of resisting and lack of compliance also shows a lot. I feel bad for her that she feels she has to steal and will forever be humiliated for this, but she got what was coming to her.

Are you unaware of the laws of America? YOU ARE forced to obey a police officer. I saw everything they did, and I said what I said. If you don't want to follow the rules, this will happen.

The way police should react to people is pretty standard in nearly every Western country, QueenBLadyG so yes I do know.

Police are meant to know how much force is NEEDED to control an environment. They used way too much force for someone who was not even violent. Clearly they were on a power trip. So no, this shouldn't have happened.

If you did, you wouldn't have had a problem with what I said. So I think you don't.

They used the appropriate force because she wouldn't comply. He grabbed her and told her to get down, and she refused. He has every right at that moment to use more force to get her to comply. There was no power trip involved. What are you even talking about? He even stated he was going to call an ambulance for her. She deserved what happened.
