It may be because Louisiana is still by far one of the most conservative (and diverse) states. The Republicans are super duper conservative, and the Democrats that actually succeed (Bel Edwards, Mary Landrieu) are Blue Dogs that are lowkey closer to being Republican than Democrat. I wish Mitch Landrieu would run for statewide office, as he's more liberal, but he has a secure hold in NOLA and refuses to run for Governor or Senator.

Louisiana somehow flipped blue for Bill both times in the general election, so I hope the same voters will pull through.

I think Louisiana has more registered Democrats than Republicans but it still tends to vote Republican regardless IIRC.

After some research, I'm highly interested in Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth as a VP pick for Hillary if she wins the nomination. The Democrats would have to give up a potential Senate seat, but she's amazing. She's a young, Asian, female Iraq War veteran and a double amputee from combat wounds. She was born in Thailand, but her father was an American citizen, so she's a natural-born citizen.

She would be such an exciting choice.

The more I think about it, Castro would be boring. An all-female ticket would be super exciting and it'd be better for Clinton to shore up the female vote than try to appeal to men who wouldn't vote for a woman anyway. The Clinton campaign could do with some unpredictability anyway.

Do we have any polling updates from the Super Tuesday states? Is Bernie ceding South Carolina?

Hillary should do more work in Massachusetts. She's leading heavily in Texas, but tied/behind in Massachusetts. Sanders is doing all he can there right now.

I don't really like Hillary but honestly, if she wins, I wouldn't be so upset. I just don't want anyone but her or Bernie to win. Go Hillary! if Donald wins, I'm going to Canada.

Brain Sandoval is more liberal than many Blue Dog Democrats. Wonder why he's a Republican when his tenure os governor and policies are so vastly divergent from the GOP core.

If he wasn't Republican, he'd be a great VP pick for Clinton. Very popular among moderates and could bring in the hispanic vote.

I think even if she demolishes Sanders in Super Tuesday, the primary will continue. The big delegate winner-takes-all primaries occur later in the primary calendar, and Sanders must believe he has a higher chance in those states.

California is a big one. Anyone recent polling there?

It seems that Hillary is set to win Texas (no surprise there), but how big her lead will be is gonna be determined by how many latinos come out to vote.

GOP is already pushing Kasich out. I think we'll see them limit the next debate to Top 3 just to squeeze Carson and Kasich out of contention before Super Tuesday.

That's definitely a good endorsement for Bernie, direction-wise and voice narrative-wise, but nothing beats Morgan Freeman's voice. I have a feeling Spike Lee with direct/produce a solid and effective add for Bernie.
