The funds will stop but the amounts of money we pay in will not. That's at least how it will look like in Poland, my bet is that Hungary will be the same.

I can give you sources but I can't find anything in English. So if you know Polish, then sure, no problem.

The EU funds are given to regions that are disadvantaged. The funds won't stop until these regions pick up with the more prosperous parts, so surely I will be happy to pay in more once my region will be as well off as the rest. BTW even for the largest depositors to these EU development funds the contributions are minuscule in comparison to their national budget. Let's not start with this usual western Eurosceptic mess that is basically just a bluff.

All in all we are not on the same page, and I don't think we will convince each other...

Even assuming you were correct, the donations are not acts of good will, but a loan which we will have to pay back in a way which liberal governments will try to hide as much as possible. The EU in my opinion is a huge scam and will end because of its stupid socialist ideas.

The outcome will be Central Europe in debt and Western Europe with religious conflicts. And that is why I believe that the sooner it collapses, the better for my country and other countries too.

As long as we stay in we can't have a say in how many EU nationals come here for work. And while the wages available in the UK conTinue to DWARF what can be earned abroad, we will stay getting 300k people a year with no provisions made in schooling, hospitals and accommodation. We should leave the sinking ship while we can. (They'll never let us vote on this again.)

You mean the EU should pay for UK hospitals and schooling, when wast majority of people go to your country to work boosting your countries budget? Like why would other EU countries give you even more provisions? For some of you guys it seems never enough...

Our current Conservative government is just ****. We have had a housing crisis for many years and nothing has been done about it. They are on the side of big business, they're happy to see wages fall to rock bottom (labourers/builders were earning about £15 an hour prior to the influx coming from eastern states, now earning less than half of that). Our schools/hospitals are at breaking point because of unfettered mass immigration and our government won't spend money to make improvements to services. They've passed the buck of house building on to private developers instead of making any provisions themselves. Not saying EU should be doing this.

The referendum is being held so soon.

I believe you have a housing crisis because of the cheap loans offered by UK banks and the greedy landlords charging ridiculous amounts as well as maybe your government's inability to control this.

Well let me tell you that our health service is also at breaking point because half of our doctors are already in the UK earning their pounds... I still don't think that forcing Hungarian doctors to stay in Hungary would be the right thing to do.

That said, I agree with some of the points you made about immigration and that the numbers moving to the UK are high. I think that more work needs to be done within the EU to make some less prosperous regions more attractive for people to stay instead of emigrate elsewhere, but this takes a lot of investment and time.

However shutting your borders is not a good option, you would still have massive influx of people each year from outside the EU anyhow and the economic disadvantages of isolation is far worse than the effect of immigration on housing and wages.

It's hilarious watching English people on TV whining about the exact same stuff Scottish people were whining about 2 years ago. So apparently its fine for Scotland to have an unelected government, but for England it's the worst thing ever?


I guess Scotland is just used to being the small wheel in a big union, that's why we're unbothered by the EU. England should realise how good they have it compared to being the small wheel in a more restrictive union.

Brexit will propel the entire continent of Europe into a poverty trap.
As countries in the developing world rise from the ashes, western countries will continue to grow weaker. This has been happening for years and will continue to happen, there is nothing the UK or the EU can do in the long term which will prevent this.

At the moment, the EU is slowly loosing its influence as the most powerful state in the world. In the event of brexit, this decent will accelerate. How can an independent UK maintain its power and prosperity if all of its neighbouring countries begin to collapse.

Brexit WILL only serve to accelerate the descent of both the united kingdom and the European union. Brexit is bad both for the UK and for Europe.
