They had five great singles that sufficiently filled the duties of the album, all were hits, and has collect great awards for the album. Do you think they're being a little extra now with Out of the Woods and New Romantics? It's arguable the album doesn't need seven singles, when I'm sure they could have her be quiet from now until summer and come back with a new release in her usual timeslot, which thus far is looking like it won't happen, but ultimately would be more profitable for her than drawing out 1989 singles.
Nah. Everyone's just used to crappy 2-3 single eras. Plus NR is a fan favorite. I believe she's doing it especially for them, since she's no longer on tour and really had nothing left to gain for 1989 besides sales for 6m and another hit.
I just wish she would've spiced it up a bit instead of being predictable and going with the obvious choices; at least one single that isn't meant to cater to radio and an amazing visual to accompany it, one that trumps every other video released this era (yes, I'm talking about "I Wish You Would").
