She's on the smaller side of Obese so I respect that they didn't get crazy and hire that body positive model with the tattoos. Still she's not fit (no pun intended) for sports illistraited. There audience is mostly straight white men and straight white men prefer their women thin with nice boobs. Only mexican and black men worship "curves", just look at the type of men who worship the Kardashians.
I don't really get why people try so hard to relate to people's physicality in the media. No matter what body type you put up there, it's still gonna have an element of "fakeness" to it. These bodies at the end of the day aren't for anybody, but to profit off of insecurity and people's boredom.
Like if i was a girl who wasn't thin and wanted to find someone who looked like me in the media, this magazine would only satisfy me for a short while until i realize that my skin or hair weren't the same "quality", and then I'd feel bad about that too. It's a cycle of nitpicking that doesn't stop until you learn to distinguish yourself as an everyday individual from a fixed model.
