Kanye isn't even a fashion designer. He's a creative director, similar to Tom Ford, who is a creative director who occasionally designs. Kanye has a team of designers doing the work for him, and he simply directs in an involved managerial role. This is standard in the fashion industry. Hedi Slimane was a fashion designer over ten years ago, but is now the creative director of Saint Laurent. These famous people aren't sitting in the design studio making technical drawings, souring fabrics, sewing, or assembling pieces.

She's wanted to be an actress just as long as she's wanted to be a singer, it's part of who she is. She has a passion for it. She's simply saying that, despite loving fashion, she has never had the aspiration to be a fashion designer and isn't going to become one just because she can.
