Did you pre-pay? If so, call and request a manager to see if they'll work with you on a date adjustment or refund given the situation; if they give you trouble, dispute the charge with your cc company or bank. If you just reserved without payment, cancel the card you used for the reservation and request a new one; say it was stolen/lost so the FI won't transfer previously authorized holds to the new numbers.
