I want it to be somewhat successful, but only because I feel like a flop what hurt her newly rediscovered confidence. I imagine it would be disheartening if her self-proclaimed favorite album flopped.
I mean, you could really fool Brit into thinking it was a success Since she doesn't keep up with charts and what not. But I get what you're saying, and for all we know, she might indeed check for that stuff.
IDK, I want to think my expectations (commercially) for this album will be reasonable, but I always overestimate her when it comes to these things so I'll be quiet for now.
The only thing that actually concerns me is the Spotify streams for the first single. I know she can do decently on YT/VEVO but I don't even think Pretty Girls made it to the top 100 on Spotify or made it past like 200K streams a day...that's mortifying.
She's a total flop on Spotify and that's not good considering we're now in the streaming era. She can hold her own on VEVO but Spotify is important too & I'm not sure what she can do to change that.

She still has higher monthly listeners than Gaga for example, one of the best selling digital artists of all time.
She just needs a good GP friendly song that's not too pop or your average "Britney", it really is time for a new sound.
Where did this she doesn't keep up with the charts thing come from, she's literally used her sales to drag Avril's back in the day and while i'm not saying she loses sleep over it I'm sure she's fully aware of her what her latest album sales were.
She needs a cool image for them streams, it's the only way. Obviously the song has to be strong, but the visuals are very important too. Something like Scream & Shout would be perfect (mostly her looks on the video, because the song low key sucks).
I wonder if her and her team will pull through with it, though.

The song slays. Except for the CRIME of Britney not singing the bridge. Work Bitch was an upgraded Scream and Shout image-wise, the song was just lacking.
Lowkey, I kinda hope I feel meh-ish towards Britney's lead (at first) cuz that means I'll love it more down the line (instead of ******** myself over it at first and then realizing that it's mediocre)
