I KNOW that it's not doing bad in the charts (even though I would have expected way more from the most exposed member of the most exposed band of the last 5 years: doing bad in Europe, fell #6 in the US already... but whatever) so don't even post the iTunes positions.
It just feels that no one really talks about it. Is it because I live in France that I get this feeling or is it the case?
It hit number one here but I feel like the only reason I even know about it is because of ATRL. I haven't heard about it literally anywhere else and I certainly haven't heard it on the radio
Hold It Against the Pillow basically, but he'll be promoting it these coming weeks, and he as an On the Verge deal on radio so. It'll feel like a Top 10 at least.

It feels like a non-event to me. And I'm not saying this just because I don't like Zayn. When I think of #1 singles I think of songs like Hello, Shake It Off, Uptown Funk, Sorry...songs that are literally everywhere. I like Pillowtalk but it doesn't feel like a big hit to me.
Well, many 'Big Hits' became one after a longer run didn't they?
And Despite all those reasons you said 1D is yet to achieve a #1 so ZAYN is winning.
He's just starting a career so please stop.
The lie most exposed member? Harry id that one.

It doesn't change the fact a lot of their singles were bigger.
if it was a non event people would have forgotten about it after the first week but its still top 5/10 3 weeks later on itunes and after spending 2+ weeks as the most streamed song on spotify it fell down to #2 only behind Rihanna's 'work'
