Justin Timberlake and will.i.am’s song “Damn Girl” struck a bad chord with a music publisher that says the 2006 hit is a complete rip-off of a song written by a member of A Taste of Honey, according to a new lawsuit.
The two pop artists are being sued in Manhattan federal court by PK Music Performance, which owns the copyrights to the musical composition of “A New Day is Here at Last,” court papers say.
Just last month, Timberlake was sued for illegally sampling a track from R&B group Sly, Slick & Wicked in his 2013 single “Suit & Tie.”
