An aggressive team can only do so much. Katy will never be taken as seriously as Taylor despite them both releasing similar style of music because the former doesn't have artistic credibility.
Taylor has created an image of creative involvement that will carry through the rest of her career, regardless of which genre she decides to explore.
This motif of the importance of personal involvement and talent within the narrative of a particular artist's body of work will always be one of the most important factors in any analysis of "quality."
