it actually increased less than i thought it would. usually songs that are big hits at the time get huge boosts from award shows. even songs that weren't selling more 150k like bang bang increased way more than love yourself did.
actually, let me try to find the stats.
i can't find much for the 2012 grammys. the only increases i can find are adele's. still, rolling in the deep sold 271,000, up by 115%.
2013 grammys:
2. stay - 306,000 (up 358%) (i guess the music video release helped this, but it's still huge enough that it's impressive)
5. suit and tie - 201,000 (up 67%)
6. ho hey - 192,000 (up 30%)
7. i will wait - 177,000 (up 70%)
2014 grammys:
1. dark horse - 373,000 (up 27%)
4. radioactive - 208,000 (up 239%; this was partially because of a remix being released)
7. drunk in love - 151,000 (up 94%)
10. royals - 137,000 (up 33%)
2015 grammys:
1. thinking out loud - 314,000 (up 17%; this had a bigger gain after only the first night of the grammys for some reason, which was in the previous week's chart)
3. fourfiveseconds - 261,000 (up 44%)
(thanks for only giving us the stats on 2 digital songs, billboard. dicks.)
i know sales were bigger then, but the important part is the percentage gains. and you can't say that it's because it was selling well before, because thinking out loud was #2 when it was performed, fourfiveseconds was #3, and dark horse was #1.
so basically, i don't really know why he didn't grow that much.
