Lionel Richie's Can't Slow Down album won over Prince's Purple Rain in Album of The Year category.... and you tell me who's got the biggest impact.
Herbie Hanckock won over Amy's Back to Black
Dixie Chicks over JTimberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds
Beck over Beyoncé's Beyoncé.
So, when you read Taylor won over Kendrick's To Pimp a Butterfly, which is the finest piece of music delivered in the year 2015. You consider those facts, and realize that 1989 will remain a bubblegum record while To Pimp A Butterfly will be forever acknowledged as one of the most groundbreaking hip hop records in history of recorded music.

Lol. I pity all of you Taylor fans who actually believe that Taylor is a well-respected artist amongst her peers.
Or that her records are actually timeless or great or whatever are the names you are imagining.
Taylor's whole success is based on the way she was labeled: A country female artist with a blond hair who got to work with pop producers and produce bubblegum, cheesy awkward pop hits.
Face it, she won because there are too many old white *****s in the Academy who are fond of the "blond girl sings country" culture and still fascinated with Taylor Swift as an example of that, cause Country's the only genre of music that is rooted in Whity white America.

Doesn't make it better sis To me this album, with its political statements and musical content, would've made up for all of that. Now it just hurts even more
Sorry but what impact does Kendrick have compared to Taylor? He has NO impact. Taylor has some.
The song "Alright" has more impact than 1989.

I pretty much agree with this, which is why the Grammys will be continued to be taken less seriously as time goes on if they continue their trends.
