What he said is fact. He's not trying to hurt people, he's trying to unite people. As long as people keep thinking "we're different", black people will suffer.
I'm glad he's been learning about genetics, and I recommend it to everybody else, it's fascinating and yes, it's full of shocks and surprises, but it's also gives you a new outlook on life, and makes you realise we ARE one big family really. Not just our species, but all life on Earth.
Not only is arguably everyone mixed race, but it's also quite possible that all humans might be hybrids too. We also know all non-sub-Saharan humans are mixed with Neanderthals, and it's entirely possible that the humans of sub-Saharan Africa had ancestors that hybridised with a different species of human, since there were many different species that lived in Africa.
