Everyone was criticizing her live voice back in 2002 - 2003 'she suck live' because she didn't sound as the album, then she change and now she was better at first?

She sound great at whatever time, it just depend on how her voice is, vocal trainings or if she's sick or not

The OP did not say "her voice was better in 2003 and worse in 2007."

The OP in fact said that she sang better in 2007, but that he himself personally didn't enjoy her new voice:

She sounds very similar, her voice sounds more rehearsed and refined now. She sounds amazing. I think during Let Go she took so long writing, she lost a lot of her vocal skills. Avril Lavigne in 2016 sounds exactly same as Avril in 2000 before Let Go, on her home tape videos.

Who is Melissa?

She grew up....females' vocal cords go through a growth period like men's do (although obviously not as drastic). I guess she just got proper vocal training and had consistent usage once it was done changing.

I think her voice is a lot better now than it was at the beginning of her career tbh. In her first two eras, she was pitchy and rough vocally way more often than she was on. She's more consistent now.

I think she sounds kinda grating on a lot of her latest album though, mainly due to production and the style of yell-y singing she's been doing.

Her best album vocally is by far Goodbye Lullaby IMO.

Honestly I think her voice is much better now. I guess age and practice.

Can yall stop? If she wants to she sounds more high pitched and she can sing lower too. I'm done with all those theories. It all depends on the days I suppose and the way she wants to sound.

THIS. Also I think that she kinda tried to sound edgy etc because of her bad girl image, when she was a pop princess from the very beginning. Let's be honest, I love her very much but yeah she grew up a lot.
