This is some stale, flop shade. he's had many many hits without a hook and let alone a girl in the hook. But yeahh hmm Pitbull sis this is terrible... his bops were always good bops now its like hmm he lost his touch. each song he puts out from this album its worse than the previous one.

All his hits rely on either a feature or a sample or a combination of both. It was okay for a handful of songs, but he has overdone it, and I guess now lost his way completely. It's time for him to go back to the drawingboard.

I normally wouldn't approve.... but no expense should be spared to get Robin Thicke back to timeless RnB. Morning Sun was great... and I expected Back Together to be bigger. At least the FloRida song turned out good.

Why do these delusional gay pop girl stans think Kesha gave Pitbull a hit when it's the other way around?

Pitbull had his biggest hit without Kesha and hits after Timber. She does not and probably will not.

Sampling an obscure old song or featuring barely relevant people doesn't take away from his influence.

It does though, his music purely relies on samples, features and catchy hooks. Strip away those factors and there is nothing left. It was a great formula for the time being, but he has yet to get a proper smash hit globally without any of those factors.

His breakthrough I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) would probably never been a hit without the samples being used, Hotel Room Service same story. Which basically set the basis for this current succesful career.

I mean there is nothing wrong with creating a succesful formula, but like every formula, at one point it get tiresome and you only can rely on it for so long. At this point it is really just a case of trying new things and maybe try a different approach, because his old formula got stale.

I mean I like a lot of his music, even some of his unreleased stuff, but I am also realistic.

All pop songs rely on catchy hooks. That's the way pop songs work. If they weren't catchy, they wouldn't work as pop songs. That's not really a undermining point for Pitbull.

Regarding samples and features, that would be an important point to make if his featured artists and samples were actually relevant enough to the GP that they would drive interest in his songs. Most people have no idea that Calle Ocho and Hotel Room Service has samples used in them. Actually, a lot of pop songs use samples without anyone having idea that there's a sample involved like The Way by Ariana Grande.

I guess we have agree to disagree then. Imo. Pitbull succesfully relied on a formula, that isn't really working anymore, you don't feel the same, that's fine I will check his music when something new is out, but I hope for his own sake he will be able to find a new or different formula for his music, otherwise his commercial career will be over sooner than later. I am curious for the next release.

I do agree that he relied on a formula, but not your implication that samples and using other singers on hooks were the reasons for his success. They're replaceable so it doesn't matter the sample or the featured artist is as long as it's a Pitbull song and it sounds good to the GP.
