The Good Morning Britain presenter has given some choice words to the former 1Der after the singer cancelled an interview with Radio 1 – his second cancellation after having dropped out of appearing on Graham Norton.
Piers, who you probably remember from such times as arguing with Niall Horan over golf, being pantsied by Harry Styles, and engaging in a ferocious Twitter war with One Direction that ended with #PiersMorganIsSmelly trending worldwide, voiced his opinion on Good Morning Britain.
Speaking to fellow presenter Richard Arnold, Piers slammed the singer as ‘rude’ and ‘surly’ for opting out of the on-air chat. ‘If you don’t want to be a popstar, go and do something else. Go and clean drains,’ he said.
Arnold countered that the singer has always been ‘gracious and polite’, to which Piers responded:
‘Well now he’s being deliberately rude to people, pulling out of interviews, being difficult. Get over yourself mate, you’re a multi-millionaire.’
He ended his chat with some words of advice for Malik: ‘Be respectful to people.’
well yeah. it's not like he's some billionaire or bill gates. He was 1/5 of a popular boy band. Cancelling on interviews that he previously agreed to is the epitome of dickish.
